KOM presents 2010 Private book 

How can I extract myself from the city without missing anything of its dynamics and spontaneity? How can I hide away in a warm rabbit hole without cutting the ties with the world? How can I cuddle to a lively, friendly and vibrant place while putting the time in limbo: the way we want it, according to our secret blueprint. I dream of a place where I can be a different self, leave things behind, just like leaving a movie theater and starting anew. Here, everything is in the open. There are different rules in a restaurant – conversation is a celebration. Our talk is a thrilling game, a Rubik cube, an endless crossword puzzle. Who knows, perhaps here lives the architect of these most beautiful, most touching conversations? And creates a retreat where everybody feels in bright colors? Who knows, perhaps you may feel happy right here?

We give you a calendar – a love child of KOM Restaurant and Hokus-Pokus publishers known for its sophisticated and intimate books by Wolf Erlbruch, Maria Ekier and Józef Wilkoń. The calendar that is filled with “airy” writing: notes, doodles, transcribing, composing, designing, projecting and imagining things. Perhaps it’s best described as “privatebook”, “thinkbook” or simply a “notebook”. I can just imagine it next year: a collage of color images and scribbling on somebody’s unique experience of life. This year you shall spend in the company of Ignacy Czwartos, an artist who has so discretely instilled his fantastic feast of pictures in the “Privatebook”.
